What We DON'T Support:

❌ Using AI to generate plot ideas, characters, or storylines

❌ AI-written dialogue, scenes, or chapters

❌ Asking AI to "write a story about..."

❌ Using AI to create core creative content

❌ AI-generated character development or world-building

❌ Presenting AI-generated content as your own writing.

The Line We Draw:

  • Polish, Not Produce: AI can help you refine what YOU created, but it should never create the core content for you.
  • Your Voice, Your Story: Every creative element—plot, characters, dialogue, themes—must come from your human mind and experience.
  • Tools, Not Authors: AI tools are assistants for technical tasks, not co-authors of your creative work.

Questions About AI Use?

If you're unsure whether a specific AI use aligns with our standards, ask yourself:

Am I using AI to help express MY ideas more clearly?

Or am I asking AI to create ideas FOR me?

The first is enhancement. The second crosses the line.

When in doubt, reach out to our community in The Authentic Ink Society for guidance.
